Configure System Settings

The Global System Settings used for the Datatron EXT.

Company Name

The name of your Company.

Max Length:

64 Characters

Note:

This name can be any alphanumeric that you choose and will be displayed on all reports.  

 

Message Center

The Message Center used to display Alarm messages for all System Alarms.

 

Note:  The Message Center functionality for this channel will be disabled by setting the value to "Unassigned".

Message Center Contact

The Message Center Contact name displayed on the Message Center during Alarm messages for all System Alarms.  Used as a quick point of reference for displaying the person responsible for the system during an Alarm state.

 

Note:  The Message Center Contact may be left as "Unassigned" if you wish for no point of contact name to be displayed on the Message Center.

Notification Schedule

24 x 7 Notification Schedule used to set which Notification List is used based on time of day and day of week.

 

Note:  All Notification (Phone, Email and Text Message) functionality for all System Alarms will be disabled by setting the value to "Unassigned".

Phone System Enabled

Enables / Disables the Phone System.  Changes to this setting require a restart of the main Datatron program.

The Phone System is Disabled

Note:

The Phone System will be automatically temporarily disabled if the Phone Device loses power or is disconnected from the Datatron Computer!

 

Reboot Notification Enabled

Reboot Notification Enabled checkbox used to enable or disable all of the Notification (Phone, Email and Text Message) functionality for all Reboot Alarms for the system.

Watchdog Card Enabled

Watchdog Card Enabled checkbox used to enable or disable the Watchdog functionality for the system. The Watchdog will automatically reboot the system if the program or operating system "hangs" for more than 6 minutes.  Click the Test Watchdog button to verify Watchdog functionality.  Changes to this setting require a restart of the main Datatron program.

SMTP Host

The SMTP Host Address of your company's Email server. Used for sending email messages.

SMTP Port

The SMTP Port of your company's Email server. Used for sending email messages. The default SMTP Port is 25 if left blank.

SMTP SSL

Use a secure SSL connection for sending mail.  Certain SMTP servers require this. Used for sending email messages.

Email Address

The Email Address to be used for sending email messages.

Email User Name

The Email User Name to be used for sending email messages when authentication is required.

Phone Voice

The Voice to be used during Alarm Phone Calls. All of the available voices for your system are listed in the drop down list when in Update Mode.

Phone Rate

The Rate of the Voice to be used during Alarm Phone Calls.

Suspend Stop Calls Message

Prevents the Stop Calls instructional message from being played on the phone during alarm calls. This does not disable the Stop Calls functionality, only the message.

Message Center Verbose

Sets the verbosity of the Message Center.  When enabled all of the Channel's Configuration Information will be displayed (Identifier, Department, Campus, Building, Floor and Room).  When disabled, only the Channel's Identifier will be displayed.

Message Center displays all configured channel information

Cleared:

Message Center displays only Channel Identifier

 

Backup Enabled

Enables or Disables the local Datatron EXT SQL Database backup. Only turn this off if the SQL Database is being backed up by your company's IT department.

Edit

Places the form into Update mode for Updating the System Settings

Test Watchdog

Performs a verification test of the Watchdog Card. The Watchdog is set for 60 minutes by default. Pressing this button will initiate a system reboot after 10 minutes if the Watchdog Card is enabled and functioning properly.

Test Phone

Initiates a test phone call after entering a phone number and response code. The call will be placed next in line in the call queue

Test Email

Opens the Email Test page

Print

Displays a Printable Report for the System Settings

Update

Update Mode - Validates the page and Updates the System Settings if there are no errors

Cancel

Update Mode - Cancels the Update and places the page in View mode
