The Notification List (NL) provides a method of notifying a user or group of users of Alarm(s) and / or W arning(s). Each NL can have up to sixteen (16) users, with each user having up to five (5) methods of being contacted. The notification process will start at Entry 1, attempt to contact the user by each method configured for that user beginning with email and / or text message if enabled followed by Phone 1, Phone 2, and Phone 3, and then proceed down the list in order until the call has been responded to. If there is no response after attempting to contact all of the Users in the List the Notification System will either move on to the next Alarm in the Notification Queue or if this is the only List scheduled for a Notification then it will start over with Entry 1. If there is no response after 3 attempts through a particular List the Notification System will pause any further attempts for that particular List for 15 minutes, unless a new alarm occurs that requires Notification of this List. This is to prevent any one or more particular unresponsive Lists from clogging the Notification System and potentially causing unnecessary delays in Notification of other Lists and to help prevent over use of the phone dialer.
Once you have configured the NL to suit your needs, you will need to configure the Notification Schedule you wish to use the NL with. On the Notification Schedule page you can assign the Notification Lists to be used for Alarms and Warnings for each particular time of day / day of week for that schedule.
