Configuration settings for the WiFi Sensors

Mote ID

The Mote ID is used for communication with the Sensor and can only be set by R&D Scientific personnel.

Sensor Timeout

The Sensor Timeout value (minutes) of this sensor sets how long after communication has been lost with the Sensor before a WiFi Sensor Alarm is triggered.

Sensor Type

The Hardware Type of the Sensor. Can only be set by R&D Scientific personnel.

Sensor Active

Sensor Active checkbox used to enable or disable all of the data acquisition functionality for this Sensor.

RSSI

Indicates the WiFi Sensor's Signal Strength.

Battery

Indicates the Battery's Voltage Level.  A WiFi Battery Alert will sound indicating that the Battery should be replaced when the Level is at or below 2.75 Volts.

Last Com Time

Indicates the last time the WiFi Sensor Transmitted Data.

Alarm Message

The Alarm Message text box allows you to append an additional custom Alarm Message to Phone, Email, and Text Message Alarm Notifications for this WiFi Sensor.

Channel Mapping

The “Channel Mapping” section contains a “Select Channel” field and fields for each of the up to four (4) Sensor Ports.  In general, the “Sensor Port” is assigned during initial installation and set up.  The fields numbered “Port 1” through “Port 4” correspond to the Port Channels provided for a given sensor. Certain Sensors only have two (2) available Ports, in which case Port 3 and Port 4 will not be available for Channel Mapping.

Select a Channel to Map to the desired Sensor Port.

Port 1

Click the "Map" button to Map the Selected Channel to Sensor Port 1.

Port 2

Click the "Map" button to Map the Selected Channel to Sensor Port 2.

Port 3

Click the "Map" button to Map the Selected Channel to Sensor Port 3.

Port 4

Click the "Map" button to Map the Selected Channel to Sensor Port 4.

Buttons

Previous

Selects the Previous WiFi Sensor by Mote ID

Edit

Places the form into Update mode for Updating the Sensor

New

Places the form into Insert mode for Adding a new Sensor

Print

Displays a Printable Report for the selected WiFi Sensor

Print All

Displays a Printable Report for all of the WiFi Sensors

Insert

Insert Mode - Validates the page and Adds the Sensor if there are no errors

Update

Update Mode - Validates the page and Updates the Sensor if there are no errors

Cancel

Update / Insert Mode - Cancels the Update or Insert and places the page in View mode

Map

Update / Insert Mode - Maps the Selected Channel in the Select Channel field to the corresponding Sensor Port.  Select the Channel "Unassigned" to leave the Sensor Port unmapped to a channel.
